Can someone adopt Reoccurring Paypal Subscriptions hack?

The author of this hack (insanctus) has been banned from this site by vB.org admins. Obviously, he can no longer support or upgrade this, be contacted via pm, etc.

If someone gave credit to him for his original work, could this hack be "adopted" by another coder, who could keep this valuable hack from going down a rat hole? It has been installed by over 100 users, who are going to be penalized through no fault of their own.

nope, as for copyright reasons, you need to contact the author per mail and if he gives you the ok, then you could adopt his hack, but we cannot.

It would require written permission of the original coder. Doesn't matter if he is still here or not.
