Hello,
I've looking for a hack that validates the visitor's IP during registration and denies it if the IP is on the blacklist. Anyone help?

if the IP is on the vb ban list they won't ever be able to click or even see the register link.

Maybe I should make the situation clearer.
For example, I would need to ban a whole range of IPs (eg. 202.156.x.x). What if my IP is always within the range? So I was wondering if there's a hack to deny only on registration so I would not be in the blacklist myself.
EDIT: Don't bother. I've found an alternative solution. Thanks anyway. :ermm:

There is something like that around here.... it exempts currently registered user from the IP ban.

Isn't banning a entire range (which is either very large, or somewhat small... depending on how you look at it) sort of extreme? People that really want to register can just get around it by proxy anyways...
