Site addons that draw interest and are easy to install

I'm new to boards and want to add some add-ons such as an articles hack, games, etc...anything to help draw traffic and interest. However, since I am not tech savy, I would like to add only add-ons that do not modify the vbulletin system, are easy to install (almost plug and play), any will be fully supported both now and for years to come. I want them to be simple to install and won't make changes to vbulletin itself?

I don't that there's much here at all that doesn't alter the core vBulletin system in some small way.
