Hi people,

I Started off a basic VB and worked my way up bit by bit, still in the modifications process id say, wouldn't mind more hacks if good relation with cars etc..

heres my forum URL: http://www.beastclub.com.au/forums

The forums started in January this year, not long ago so they are still a bit new..

Original Site is www.beastclub.com.au i want to integrate the whole site into the forums, so i guess i am half way there, or almost, all i need is just something so i can show the Cruises Photos and Videos in, like a download thing for the videos with thumbnails and stuff just like i have done it manually myself in the html version on the site.. do you know of anything that can offer this technique?

appreciate all your comments//

i like your forums a lot. cool colors. i also like your site.

in my experience, running an fps gaming community, that you may want to keep your site and forums separate. unless i was doing something wrong, if your mysql freezes or something happens to your database, then if you integrate the whole site into the forums, those will also come down during those periods.

however, if you leave them unintegrated, then at least the rest of your site will remain up during database troubles. i would suggest you looking into some of these hacks that let you pull certain threads into non-vb pages, etc. this way, you can still have forum content and feel not have to integrate everything into the forum itself.

I love the header, though it almost seems a little large.

HHmm... I didn't realize the PbP guys offered a branding free option for their styles. I'll have to ask them about it for one of my sites that I'm using SpacePlastic & WorldView on. Anyway...

I see you're already running vBGarage, one of the more popular hacks for the car sites. ... Here's a quick change to your navbar (http://www.vbadvanced.com/forum/showthread.php?t=41) so that "Forums Portal" option doesn't show up when viewing the portal, only from within the forums.

I like the overal feel of the bright colors! The only suggestion I would have is make everything in the header a bit smaller and the rest of your buttons and you'll be set!

Add a link directly to your forum on the homepage navbar :) Also I'd add a one pixel white gap between your grey borders and the inner bits of them. I have never liked grey against a color :p

I would suggest you to remove that link. Don't want people (minors/others) to be confronted with that page unexpected. :ermm:

why should i want to re thought the name? beastclub.com has nothing to do with beastclub.com.au both totally different categories

just like the australian idle casey donnovan has a site http://www.caseydonovan.com.au but again theres a http://www.caseydonovan.com which is totally different

also like ozv8, v8 australia club and aussiev8. :squareeyed:

On a related note, I had to actually look intently around the page for the "forums" link, which unlike the rest of the colorful page, is monochrome and blends far too easily with the top title. Remember, to encourage discussions, your users need to find them first.
