Category Pictures?

hi there

i want little pictures in front of my forum-categories...look at www.cheerforum.de to see what i mean. there are little pictures, and they change if there is a new post made in this category. how can i create these pictures? i also tried the search, but didn't know what keyword i should look for. is there any hack which can do this?

Just replace the images for the forum_*.gif in your ./images/statusicon directory for the style where you want the icons to be replaced.

@tobi: uh auch hier :) naja wollte dich net schon wieder nerven und lieber erstmal auf eigene faust was probieren, aber hat net so ganz geklappt :P also wennde mir sagst wie du das gemacht hast w?re das nat?rlich super :D genauso wie es marco64 beschrieben hat oder per mod?
