Request an Engineering Change Notice and Engineering Change Request mod.

I guess this could be something like the help desk mod with these additions.

When someone "REQUESTS" an Engineering Change Request (E.C.R.) it will be assigned an auto incrementing number starting with 000001.

When this list of submitted ECRs is viewed, you would see:

ECR#...|Part Number|EFFECTED PRODUCTS|REQUESTING DEPT|.....DATE.....|APPROVED/DENIED|
000001....101001............PRODUCT1.............E ngineering........2005-03-01.......APPROVED

Obviously, there needs to be a submission form to gather all of those fields.

Automatic entries:
ECR#
DATE

Manual entries:
PART#
EFFECTED PRODUCTS
REQUESTING DEPT.

APPROVED/DENIED assigned on the admin form.

Once one of the listings are clicked on, you could then read the reason it was requested, and a reason for approval or denial. (approve/deny would be entered on the admin form)

The requesting department could be selected from a drop down box, or it would be nice if i could assign each member a department in their user profile. then that would be an automatic entry.

This would be greatly appreciated.

I need the entry form, an admin form to answer the requests, and an admin form to generate ECNs or Engineering Change Notices. These would be changes that can be added to a seperate listing and they are NOt requested, they originate from Engineering.
