Looks nice. I like the subtle shades of grey and your choice of maroon. Very nice icons on the index as well. Your logo and header fit really well. Good work.

Very nice design.... but are the cell widths for Forums, last post etc. on your forum home supposed to have different widths like that or is my firefox browser just displaying it wrong?

One of the rare times that I see a style set that is innovative and that I overall like. However, as mentioned, you should line up the column widths. Your site also has 33 validation errors: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.jalopyjournal.com%2Ffor um%2F .

clean layout ... unique look :up:

fixed width layout ... :up: not to many people know that a fixed width layout renders a lot quicker then a liquid layout

suggestions
remove the nowrap from the lastpost cell ... OR ... you may want to reduce the number of characters on your last post title ... AND ... modify the cells to have a fixed width

If you are going to produce code that is not valid remove/replace the XHTML doctype.
