I had some trouble installing the first time, and wish to do a reinstall of version 2, but it errors out say "table already exists" (step3 of install).

The install halts, and I cannot continue. There is no upgrade or uninstall option. how can I get past this to do a fresh install?

You could try to delete the table from phpmyadmin.

that works, but then I have to delete ALL of the phrases from the database, which is an impossible task

I tried going doing it manually, but there is simply too many entries in the database, and if you miss one, try to install it error on the one you miss.

Is their an easier way to remove 2 so I can reinstall from scratch? Please help!

I'm in the same boat but unfortunately there isn't a clean way to unload the phrases. However, if you look in the upgrade_vbarticles_text.php file, all the phrases are listed in there at the bottom of the document. Granted, there are about 300 or so phrases but MOST of them are prefixed with vbart_ and are easy to find whether you use phpmyadmin or the phrase manager. The only ones that aren't as easy to squash are the settings_ ones in the Vbulletin Settings phrases. But at the same time, depending on what hacks you've installed after, those SHOULD be the last 130 (I think, go recount b4 you do it) entries in the phrases table. So you could just delete those in phpmyadmin.

hope that helps, it worked for me.

Will put up an uninstall script for v2.0 later.

thanks Aurora. That is not good news, but i guess I have no choice. I'm frustrated and surprised that such a big hack has a nonexistent uninstaller.

I know you got things to do, but I need this as soon as it's ready. There is simply too much to do manually, increasing the chances of fudging somethin else up.
