Hey All,

I have been playing with forums for a while and I have always been able to make the changes I wanted and needed.

But, I want to learn more about the functions and inner working of the system. Are there an files, links tutorials... anything on the setups / configs / etc...

Thanks.

If everything was fully documented, there would be no need for programmers, which just wouldn't be smart now would it? :)

Documenting the API for add in enhancements would make the product more popular IMO.

And it will be documented for the next major vB release. I believe it was said that it wasn't documented for 3.0.0 since major changes were planned.

Next major release being 4.0.0? Or 3.0.8?

see that is what I mean...

vB supplies the code, so we can make custom changes to it, so it better suits our needs. So, why not have some basic how-to, or information regarding where things can be found.

Just my 2 cents.

It's a great idea, everyone agrees. Getting someone to write it is another story.

As stated above when the next major release comes out the dev's plan to include more documentation of the source code. I tried finding the post on vB.com but could'nt via search.
