How to use backup file?

I backed up my site before having someone do hacks they unfortuantley messed up but the problem is i dont know where ot load th backup file i ttried admincp diagnostics didnt work does it habve to be hosted off my site or on my computer?

What sort of backup file is it (not that I know or do not know lowandloudinc, but don't give away any details to anyone you don't know / trust).

Are they php files or is it a sql file?

its the sql files the kid that did it didnt save the unedited php files he installed 6 hacks no problem idk what happened but hwo do i load the backup and even if i load the originals of the files i have its gonna get rid of the hacks he did

The SQL file can only be restored via phpmyadmin or ssh

Unedited files are not that bad. All you would have to do is reedit them and thats a peice of cake.
