My suggestion is to firstly move the statistics to the bottom, to allow users to access your forum list easier, and not have to make them scroll down so much.

IMO, I don't like how the category backgrounds blend into the background so much. It would look better, IMO, if they were more distinct from each other.

Fix the tcat, it looks absolutely horrid in 1600x1200 (how it repeats). I resized my window to about 770 or so, and it doesn't look bad. I guess it is okay since it is for hip hop, but I think it would look better based on black, or any dark colors.

And yes, stats at the bottom. :)

Also try making the cat images another color and not making it so that the background repeats.
