database for downloading files. (help needed)

Hi all, i need to pick your brains, being rather new to vb, we not sure whats out there. We need to get hold of a database system for our site, that will allow members to download from us.

We need it to run along side our main forums, so it would need to be intergrate from vb, so allowing permission to download would be controlled if they are member of our forum. We also need it to pull the users details over, so they can log in under the same username and password, and then if they are say a downloading group they have permission to download from the database.

Are there any addons, mods, anything that you know of that can help us. Yes where willing to pay if needed., but could you post some links of places that can help us. We like to get back to having the forums intergrated into the database, or visa versa.

Thanks for the links i do like some of them but i guess its more of a stand alone system that would intergrate into vB. I may be able to work on something from these but its the time frame to get this done.
Any other systems around, we had a look at mkportal, as that has a download section with multiple sub cats which will do us well, but need it more stand alone, and option to have copyright removed. I ask alot ah :P
