This is an addon for the full text searching hack by Johnwoo (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?u=4463)

found here

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=62282

I know the hack says its for vbulletin 3.0 but it should work for higher versions if it doesn't just post in this thread

I decided to make the small hack because i realisedfulltextsearchinghas a lot of advantages over the normal search engineandbesides that, the vbulletin devs seemed to have completely missedoutthe search help.

Although the search help template is for full text searching
you may change it to suit the normal search
but as i don't know what the normal search options are i'll leave it as an addon for full text searching

Should only take 5 minutes to install

interesting but i think it would be better to add whole another field like on google where you just specify what to search for and what not to search for;)

So are you saying this works on the fulltext search already? Or does it work on regular searches too? I never knew about this.

no this is an addon for the full text searching
the reason why i say for fulltext is because the template is based upon the fulltext searching denominators

But it can be edited just a case of changing the template so it shows the denominators for the normal search

if anyone knows what they are i'll be happy to make the template so it is relavent to the normal search too

You may install it without having fulltext installed however
