If for any reason you would like to remove this hack, follow the following instructions.
Note : You DO NOT need to uninstall v1.0.2 in order to upgrade to the next version v2.0 coming out soon. There will be an upgrade script for that which will make the upgrade process a painless one :)

The below instructions are for those uninstalling v1.0.2

Download this attachment, place it in your admincp directory and run it in your browser by going to

http://www.yoursite.com/forum/admincp/delete_vbarticles_v102.php

This uninstall script will remove all tables, templates, settinggroup, settings and phrases from the initial install.
All previously added article categories, and articles, comments and ratings WILL BE DELETED. Be mindful of that when you want to uninstall for troubleshooting reasons etc.

Delete the file once completed. Undo all file edits (namely, admincp/index.php).

Note: It is always good practice to back up your database beforehand.
I am not liable in any way if something goes wrong. It is your responsibility to do so.

Hi cinq,

That'd be great if you could provide us the text file as well. that will be much more easier for us to Undo all previous file that being edited.

Thanks inadvance!

Would indeed come in handy as I ran into some problems trying to remove the hack. Used the uninstall file for v2.0 and then it got nasty. So some information on all actions done to certain files on install would be nice :)

Darn, I wish I saw cinq's post earlier. I've built an un-installer for this hack as I bumped into a little problem with it earlier.

anyway, I post my uninstaller here in case someone may need it.
Another copy can be found here http://www.all4a-designs.com/details.php?file=37
Note that this installer is for version 2.0

To avoid confusion, I would appreciate that you use the files posted by me in Post #2 if you should want to uninstall vbArticles.

Thanks for the effort though tnguy3n, much appreciated :)
