i installed the on in the portals forum in the releases forum, but it didnt work-i was really bummed out because it seemed awesome and it was exactly what i was looking for..of course i looked at the other ones in there but none of them seemed even half as good as the first one.

are there any that ppl would recommend?

and while im here-has anyone gotten this portal to work with 3.06?

sorry..it WOULD help if i mentioned that, wouldnt it? i installed vbindex 3.00

install went fine, but then..nothing happened :/

I've got vbindex working here:

It's the best portal in my opinion. It doesn't have as many features as some of the others but it's easier to use and tweak.

If you're getting a completely blank page, this is usually due to a missing template. Have you checked that the vBindex templates have appeared in all styles?
