update i installed RC2 but now i get this error when i try to upload
An error occurred while attempting to create a folder for your files. If the problem persists, please notify the webmaster
i have chmodded all the files that have to do with gallery. i dont know what else to do. it also said i had to do it for gallery/files folder but there wasnt one when it installed. if you know what the issue please help me out thanks

The best place to post this would be on vBadvanced.com in the vBa Gallery support forums. ;)
When you installed Gallery there is a blank folder in the zip named files; if you copied everything over during the installation it would've also copied this folder over. The file ../gallery/files needs to be 777. Also, safemode should be turned off on the server.
PS: Gallery RC3 is available.

i tried to install RC3 but it gave me data base errors so i went with RC2 and i checked the zip it came in and i even unzipped it again and no folder with the name files/ i created one in the gallery folder and chmodded it is that ok? or does it have something in it that i need? also why does it give me that error?
