Archive and usergroup problems

Hoping someone can help me, I posted at vb.com but was directed here.

I have a problem with my archives not working. It all works fine until you click on an individual post, and then Not found. I Have vBA installed, as well as the, only allow guest to view post titles. So I assume it was a stuff up with the install of one of these.

The stuff up of which is probably also related to another problem. I created a new usergroup. It has a few more permission than the registered. It all seems to be ok, but they cannot view vBA, which is the main index of the site. I get the you do not have permission to access message.

If someone could point out where my problems may lie, it would be very much appreciated.

Whats the reason for wanting the archive the work if the spiders cant spider them
