vb.org's portal can be found here on my pc

very easy to customize, all you need is knowledge in sql/vb/php :D

hehe, i have a dynamical ip, a hardware firewall, and a software firewall

so php skills might work faster ;)

That's it in a nutshell bascially, there are obviously a few customizations with the one here and it's probably coded by their own team but you can take vba (or another portal) and do pretty much the same thing.

Just about any of the free portals should do the job for displaying news items; just turn off any & all of the modules that aren't wanted except for the latest news module.
