Hi,
Im trying to use admincp to send a weekly newsletter to my users.

Goal: Send a weekly newsbulletin/newsletter (something like NYTimes Newsletter) to subscribed users in html or plain text. Basically trying integrate a mailing list within VB.

Requirements:
1) Users should be able to sign-up for the newsletter and unsubscribe. If they unsubscribe, then they should be removed from the list automatically.
2)The hack/mod should auto detect if the user can receive html or plain text email and send the email out accordingly.

i am currently using the hack that enables sending html emails to users but it doesnt autodetect the format.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this..... thanx.

I'm not sure how one would check if a user can recieve html emails, but I'd be interested in knowing...

I need something like a listserve integrated into the user admin... where users can sign up for it.... listserves generally autodetect email formats... i have no idea how they do it..

I think it does what your asking for, with the exception of the auto detect if users can recieve html/text mails. The users can choose which type they recieve though.

Hope it helps.

Combull is a waste of time. Are there any other options out there?
