can/is there a mod that adds a arcade news block to the home page, i found one for vbadvanced but thats it

Currently nobody has created such a modificiation, but one could be created if there is a demand for one :)

There sure is. I'm running vbindex with an arcade news block. It's on the v3arcade.com.
