Hi,
I want to display the users online box (the one on the forums homepage), across all the forums.
Is there a way to do this?
Iv just moved over from eve and want it to look as far as possible like my old forums http://soapchat.net/eve/ubb.x where the online now is displayed across all the forums.
Thanks

Well, I suppose this could be done by adding the right code to the phpinclude however it could cause a lot of over head because it would be included on all pages across the site no matter what (even if not displayng online users). As it is vb has a built in optional function to see who is browsing each forum which I have found very convenient.

I would really like to give it a ago. W have been using it for yonks on our old forum and its surpriseing how popular it has been, we took it off and the users went crazy, they felt it gave a sense of 'community' to the individual forums.
So is there not a way to do it so it just appears on the forums page?

Hmm.. by default it's on the forum main page, did you mean within each forum? Also, keep in mind that if you have selected the option that it will show which users are browsing (that forum) within each forum also.

Yep , so its within each forum and showing everyone online, Similar to my current site http://soapchat.net/eve/ubb.x?a=frm&s=59260593&f=34360604 which we ar ein the process of exporting over.

Okay, from looking at your setup you want it at the top and not the bottom (currently vb default) right? Also, it appears at the top of the forum home and thread listing page but not on the posts page, right? I would like to work this out for you without having to use the php inlcude, this way we can add the code just to those sections and it will cause less overhead.
