Member Location

Okay folks, I've searched before asking this but if there is a hack for this, I am missing it. My members would like to have an easy way of finding other members who reside in their state or province. I've looked at various guest maps but none seem to work very well and don't seem to integrate with the location field of the profile.

I don't really care if it's a map. Just a simple hack where a user can select their state or province from a drop down list or even a text list and it will return other users from that location.

I know that they can do an advanced search on that profile field but a simpler/quicker method would be nice.

Does this hack exist?

I'm also looking for something like this, I would love a member map though as I used to have one on my old YaBB install.. They have got it over at IPB land (http://mods.invisionize.com/db/index.php/f/5390) so I'm surprised we haven't got one! :)

That is a great idea for a hack and I am surprised nobody has developed it already but it would be cool if someone would.
