View Full Version : Posting Forms/Grades

I was wondering if there was a hack available where members can post forms, much in the same way as polls are posted, and at the top of the thread shows a horizontal bar graph or scale that represents the grade the member gives to a certain product or service (like a book or a movie)

For example:

Catch 22 by Joseph Keller

Characters: A (the grade of the category preceded by a bar whose color/length corresponds with the grade)
Plot: B (Same scheme as above)
Overall Quality: A (Same scheme as above)

Is there anything like this? If not, I can't imagine it would be difficult to make.

Come on, guys. I'm surprised something like this hasn't been built already.

To explain further, when members make a new topic, they are given the additional option of whether they want it to be a "review thread" or not (much like how they have the current option of whether they want to make it a poll or not.).

They'd enter the basic information of the product (could be a movie, video game, book, etc.), along with manually entering a few categories that they choose to grade (if it's a movie, then they could enter "plot," "characters," "cinematography."), and next to each manually category entered there would be grade buttons (options). They could give "plot" an A; or "characters" a C; or "cinematography" a B.

Once the thread is posted, the review will be housed above the first post, showcasing the information entered by the member, including: the product info, the categories, and the grades (represented by horizontal color bars, like the ones found in polls.).

Is there already something like this available? There should be. If not, I don't imagine why none of the capable and talented hack writers would want to make it! :)
