View Full Version : Cafe Press Store Add-On
Creed
01-29-2005, 10:00 PM
This add-on will allow you to add all the items from any of your Cafe Press store's or multiples if you so choose. If you have multiple stores you are going to use, make sure you separate each store name with a comma.
This add-on works with Cafe Press basic store, as well as with premium stores.
One Template to add.
One file to upload.
One (optional) Template Edit.
See it in use here (http://www.hdclan.org/forums/shop.php)
I will support this add-on the best I can, its very simple so there shouldn't really be any questions. I did not write the script to include the items. The javascript was written by scanman20@hotmail.com. I just edited the script to work with vbulletin, and added and templates to make the modification to add this to your forums.
As always, click install if you use. I'll keep you updated if I change anything :)

Sure thing, in the CAFEPRESS template, just remove "$header" and its gone :)

Sure thing, the script is GNU and the the script was written by scanman20@hotmail.com. The php script retains the info from the original scripter who wrote the javascript, and now credit given on modifaction, sorry ;)

hmmm...actually meant the header image from the cafepress script, the logo from cafepress is the same as my main site logo, and doesn't look to good having them both...
I guess it has something to do with this line
echo "document.write('<div style=\"width:'+w+';height:'+h+';background:white url(http://zoom.cafepress.com/'+(z%10)+'/'+z+'_zoom.jpg) no-repeat center center;\"><img border=\"'+b+'\" class=\"imageborder\" src=\"http://www.cafepress.com/cp/img/'+(g?'zoom':'spacer')+'.gif\" width=\"'+w+'\" height=\"'+h+'\"></div>')";

You should be able to put up all stores, didn't know that wasn't what it was supposed to be.
Odd, I put in one store name and it worked fine...I put in both and it shows a link to each store. Very odd. Unfortunately the way the script is written it will only work for multiple basic shops, while advanced shops it will display your main page if you use more than one. You can use the name of one advanced shop and it will show it just fine.
In your instance Trackpads, the was it would work you could only use trackpads/227432 or trackpads/227448. As if you were to use both, it will display only trackpads main shop page. I am in the process of contacting the original script writer to see if this can be changed to incorporate multiple advanced shops. I will keep everyone updated as I find anything out.
*PS* for removing the title/header images from each shop, I'm working on seeing if I can get that removed as well. Since someone earlier requested that.

Question -
What and why is it making the page more stretched to the right beyond the scrollbar by about 10 / 20 pixels??
Creed
03-19-2005, 11:22 PM
Wow, you're right...but it only seems to be happening in IE. I use Firefox so I didn't notice lol sorry. I'll check that out and see if I can't get that fixed :)
Creed
03-20-2005, 12:53 AM
Fixed...well sort of. You can replace the CAFEPRESS template with the one provided in the attached text file Now, if you have custom header and footer templates this will remove those...as there is a problem with the $show['oldexplorer'] variable and this script. I'll work on that, but in the mean time you can use the attached template for immediate fix.

Are you referring to a clean install?
Skaterscafe.com
03-20-2005, 07:04 PM
Yes I just installed it.
A question about the install I may not have clear.
It says in the instructions:
###################
Open shop.php replace:
###################
your_store_name with your store name :)
IS that to be worded exactly the same way as the Cafe store?
Also, right below the in the URL
$start = '<!-- Start Main Content -->';
$end = '<!-- End Content, Start Footer Include -->';
$stores = 'your_store_name '; //EDIT THIS VARIABLE TO BE A LIST OF YOUR STORES
$url = 'http://www.cafepress.com/';
$item = $_GET['item'];
Is that url to stay that way or is it to be the url of my Cafepress store?
Creed
03-20-2005, 10:41 PM
$url = 'http://www.cafepress.com/'; should stay the same, however:
$stores = 'your_store_name '; //EDIT THIS VARIABLE TO BE A LIST OF YOUR STORES
should be change to your store name :)
Skaterscafe.com
03-22-2005, 02:20 AM
Strange, I copied the stor ename from Cafepress just like it's listed and nothing shows up, just a blank page.
Creed
03-22-2005, 02:41 AM
You did create a new template called
CAFEPRESS
right?
Skaterscafe.com
03-22-2005, 05:36 AM
Well I figured it out....duh...
When it said the store name I added the name I gave the store, didn't realize it needed the name of the store that followed the cafepress.com url. It's working great now.
Creed
03-22-2005, 06:07 AM

I'll work on that, but in the mean time you can use the attached template for immediate fix.
I HACKED at this until I found a fix.
using the IE fix TXT on post#44, find and replace this text <!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td align="$stylevar[left]"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php?$session[sessionurl]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
<td align="$stylevar[right]">
With the actual HEADER code from the same skin thats holds the CAFEPRESS template your editing.
as an example, I copied the portion of my HEADER template, and used it to replace the above code.
<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td background="Bilder2/Unbenannt-1_02.gif" width="100%" /></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td><center><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/Bilder2/Unbenannt-1_03.gif" width="99%" height="82" /></center></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/Bilder2/Unbenannt-1_14.gif" width="100%"></td>
</tr>
</table>
<table width="100%" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/Bilder2/Unbenannt-1_15.gif"></td>
<td bgcolor="#FFFFFF" width="100%"></td>
<td><img src="$vboptions[bburl]/Bilder2/Unbenannt-1_17.gif"></td>
</tr>
</table>
Its actually everything in the HEADER template ABOVE the
"<!--
NEW HEADER & NAVBAR" statement.
Now remember, You will have to edit each CAFEPRESS template with each skins HEADER template accordingly.
Works great for me! I hope it helps everyone else.
Harley D
04-23-2005, 03:50 PM
Now to add your custom footer.
Using the same txt file in post#44, that you have edited per instructions in the above post.
Remove this
<br />
<div class="smallfont" align="center">$vbphrase[all_times_are_gmt_x_time_now_is_y]</div>
<br />
And REPLACE everything below this
</td></tr></table>
<else />
</div>
</div>
</div>
With your FOOTER template code for that skin.
This worked on at least 5 different custom templates, with no problems.
I'm no coder, Just keep that in mind.
Use at you own risk!! Make backups!! :lick:
This should work for me but it isn't.
My storeid is YourLincolnPark.com
My url to the store is: http://www.cafepress.com/yourlincolnpark
I have tried both in the script but I keep getting a blank page.
Any help is appreciated in getting this to work.
Creed

You need to make sure you replace "yourstorename" with "yourlincolnpark" as it appears at the end of the cafe press url.

ok, I opened a test shop with ONE item, and the page loaded with the item, great! Now I adjusted the shop.php back with my regular cafe press shop, which has 29 items so far, and nothing showed between the header and footer. Could the amount of items not be compatible with your mod? Could the fact that my store was created a long time ago have anything to do with it? thanx

this was working July 11, but sometime after july 11th it stopped working. So cafepress made some changes after that date, and broke this script again..
ok I got it to work..
Even though install says it's for a "Basic Store", mine is "Premium Store".
I just changed every instance of cafeshop to cafepress in the above code I posted..

There was some code changes made couple months ago to fix cafepress. Now it looks like they changed the code again so that it does not load your page offsite.

yes
edit this line in your shop.php
$stores = 'yourlincolnpark,dow_gamers'; //EDIT THIS VARIABLE TO BE A LIST OF YOUR STORES
add as many stores are you want, just sepperate with ,
look here and you'll see images from both stores
http://www.dow-gamers.net/vb/shop.php
one from that linkpark place and one from my site-
Just FYI,
the first name that you put on the above line is what's going to display on your pages ie
$stores = 'yourlincolnpark,dow_gamers'; will pull all the main info from yourlincolnpark and fill out your template with that.
