Hi all,

does anyone recognise this hack:
http://lippylounge.getlippy.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4

It's a 'clubs' system where people can set up their own private forums and restrict access, etc. Clicking on 'My Clubs' takes you to the 'editusergroups' options.

Is this an existing hack?

Thanks :)

this is probably that vB Hosting wutever hack or that could be a custom modification. I am not really sure. you will not find the vB Hosting hack on this site because it violates your agreement with Jelsoft. If you are going to use that hack be aware that Jelsoft can remove your board because you are violating the agreement.

I asked at vb.com awhile back but got no response other than : we don't discuss it, so maybe someone here can shed some light on why vBHosting is looked down on. I know that they have reversed their decisions in the past regarding certain hacks, such as the lockdown hack, and am wondering what the thinking is behind their decision making.

I couldn't find definitive info on the vbhosting hack, but I'm not sure that's it.

We don't want to break the license agreement though.

The 'clubs' on this site are just 'private' message boards where a user gets to moderate 'join requests' (i.e. people that are allowed to post on the board). There's no changed styles or anything - all the boards appear as an integral part of the main site.

It looks like it might be some modifications to the public user groups?

yeah it is most likely a custom modification. try making a service request for a coder to design this for you;)
