i'm about to set up a moderation queue for members joining a group, i'mwondering if it's best to add the members i want to moderate to anewtable or if i should just add em to the existing user table and haveacolumn for members in the moderation queue awaiting moderation?
the first method means extra processing in that it will take me anadditional two queries per use as i'll have to delete the old recordand then add a new record to the new table.
but the second method seems very shortcutty :shrugs:

Why not just use public joinable groups, with member moderation by group leader?
All standard functionality.

The bottom part is about public usergroups.

because this is a total new hack that has nothing to do with the vBgroups as i wanted more plug-in than hack feel.

that's all too easy, i gotta give myself hours of headaches or it just wouldn't feel right :p
in all honesty this is probably the last front end thing i have to do(for now), so i'm not doing too badly, then i just have to think aboutsetting the admin options, going back to the frontend to tie up looseends and voila if the users on my forums don't all scream about stuffnot working it will be released.
i decided on the column :)
