Thread Display by Date Not Last Post?

It would be great if some forums could have threads ordered by post date rather than last post. It would be great for archiving old threads in an Archive forum or for a Hall of Fame type forum.

Anyone know how to go about this?

There is a hack available that does display Thread Creation Date and lets you sort by this column:
