control panel log (moderator missing)

I just added a new moderator, Several of my long term mods have been down graded to the miserable user group. When I ran control panel log by user, his name doesnt come up, I made him a moderator today, Does time have to pass for his name to be on the list? thanks in advance

You have been looking for his name to turn up in the moderator log? He will only turn up there when he makes an action that is logged.
