I was thinking on starting my own escort based board in Canada or a Music based message board on a particular music group. What are the restrictions before purchasing this or that? Thanks

Can I start my own escort board on the internet when I'm based in Canada?
I know there is one board called Terb that uses VBulletin. Or I would like to start a music forum for a rock band. Thanks

A few more questions if you don't mind. What is the difference between the two license's? How long is the lease lincense good for and if I purchase a license is there a validation period for it? Thanks
How do I get started on building my own board? Is it complicating? Do you have to be a compute wiz?
Thanks

It's not all that difficult, make sure you read the instructions thoroughly and have a very good idea of what you're going to do before you do it.

An owned license allows you to run the software for as long as the license is valid, the same goes with a leased but it only lasts 1 year, after 1 year you must either renew or upgrade to an owned license, or discontinue using the software.

So basically once I make a payment for the lease I am good to go and can set up any of the above mentioned boards? Do I set up the board and the format and do you provide assistance? Thanks

1. Leased lets you run the board for 1 year, Owned lets you run it for a lifetime with a yearly renewal fee of $30 for updates. (owned will be the cheaper route).
2. You can only run 1 board per liscence. If you want to run a music board on one site and an escort board on another site, you will need 2 liscences.
3. Its easy to install the board itself with some basic reading and you get free support via the forums but if you want Vbulletin to install the software for you, they charge you a fee for this extra service.
