Here's my task:

When my staff moves a thread, I'd like something like the "Edited by: xxxx reason: yyyy" to show up in the last post. BUT, I want it to say:

"Moved by: xxxx"

No reason would be necessary. How can I accomplish that please? Again, I'd like the text to be in the last post on the thread as of move-time. A fallback would be to have it in the first post on the thread.

Additionally, how to allow an option (check-box would be fine) to send an auto-PM to the original poster, informing them of the move?

Thanks!

I am using thread notes (as older versions of vBulletin did) to store "Thread moved from a to by by c at d" and display this on showthread (only visible for moderators) on my board.

Furthermore, I added a few controls to the Copy/Move screen that allow to enter a reason and select what should happen with this (New Post Only, Post & PM to Threadstarter).

Could this be interesting for you?

I added a few controls to the Copy/Move screen that allow to enter a reason and select what should happen with this (New Post Only, Post & PM to Threadstarter).

That is nearly exactly what I'm looking for. I *do* want the members to see the "reason"/action taken. I could add the name of the Admin/Mod moving the thread easily enough. Does the "reason" show up in the first post of the thread, or the last?

Thanks!

Oh, I'm running vB 3.0.3 currently. (I won't be upgrading for awhile, until I can judge the stability of the latest release.)

The Reason is added as a new post.
Gimme 1-2 days to put this mess together (eg. write documentation/install instructions)
