We have submited our forum www.gob++++es.co.uk to both google.com & google.co.uk as well as several other search engines. I check regularly and have only seen a google spider once on the site. On another forum I use there are often times when the site is inundated with google spiders along with others.

We have got the 'Users must register to view' hack installed.

I am wondering if this is blocking access to the spiders too?

Has anyone any experience of this hack blocking spiders at all?

We are considering taking this hack off soon but it would be useful to know if it did block them.

cheers.

thats not true - google spiders my sites in about a week.

Yes - that hack would affect. Basically google sees what visitors see - no more no less. SO google is only seeing that your visitors can see, which gives google very little to spider.

Come to www.vBwebmaster.com - we are new but are all experienced with getting into google and getting ranked well.

The quickest way to get your site spidered is to get some incoming links from other well spidered sites or directories.
