what would happen if i deleted all files off of my server for vb3.0.3 and then put all the vb 3.0.4 files on my server would i lose all my tables and members etc ?

nope, the tables are located in the mysql db and cannot be deleted with the files at once from ftp :)

just tell it to use the same database as u used for your old board - but in all fairness i would`nt delete id either upgrade over top or install vb into a different folder then delete the old board once u know everything is fine.
Also any hacks you got u gonna have to re-install again but u knew this already did`nt you :)

lol yes i knew about the hacks :P

i just wanted a fresh install so i could hack/mod my forum myself and as i upgraded i have to reinstall all the hacks/mods anyway :(

the only reason i want a fresh install is that i used my board to test some hacks on and wen i removed the hacks i didnt want i lost track of all the files if u catch my drift
