Help: User Integration

I would like to use vb users/sessions on my main sites to avoid having members register once for site and once for forums. I have searched both vb.com and vb.org and come up blank...

I see phpbb has very helpful tutorials on this (see here (http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=143)) but vb does not O.o
