View Full Version : 3.0.3 Archive on CGI server
Hi
Have upgraded from 3.01 to 3.03 but know my archive does not work on my CGI server - did hack when it was 3.01 and worked great but with 3.03 the hack does not work correctly as an archive does show but the links just redirect to the index
Fishing Forum archive (http://www.fishing-forum.info/archive/index.php)
SO is there a hack out htere that gets 3.03 archive to work on a CGI server , I have had a good look but must be blind to day
Thank you for your time (really need this as will lose loads of indexed paged )

Never hurts to ask your host to move you on a server with php as a module
Very dim but would that affect anything else as I have a few on it

Have a look at the link from SilentK and read the whole thread. Everything you need to know has already been translated. At vb-germany, it?s the 1. link of those 3 for vB 3.0.3. It worked for me.
If you still got problems you can PM me.
Thanks - will have another go at the weekend
And for your kind offer - fingers crossed

I tried following them directions. BUT I had one problem. My forums are located in a subdomain that is not accessable through a folder (example must have forums.signmakersguild.com/ NOT /forums/)
Any ideas??

Man I have been having alot of troubles installing this in a subdomain. I changed my forums location from a subdomain to a directory under the domain and it works great! Thanks.

Does anyone know if this v3.0.3 solution will work with v3.0.4?

I just want to say that the solution almost works in vb3.0.4 - the PDA Archive finally opens up but when I click on one of the forums listed I am redirected back to the PDA Index. The URL seems to indicate that it has tried something as it reads like:
http://www.talk-history.com/forum/archive/index.php?f-52.html
I suppose the problem is with this line:
$querystring = "f-" . intval($f) . iif($p, "-p-" . intval($p)) . ".html";
although my knowledge of PHP is extremely limited.
Can anyone help?

Is this more complicated than I expected?
