View Full Version : Problem with the Poll Hack

Hello all,

I installed the Poll hack on my board, but when I try to run the makepolltables.php is says there is a slight error in the footer or something.

Anybody know what I did wrong?

I got Version 1.1.4 and also installed the PM hack.

1) Upgrade to 1.1.5. Another versions below 1.1.5 won't be supported (as heard ;)).
I upgraded yesterday. Took me less than 2 hours with 5 hacks (PM, Avatar, Polls, BFC WebLog, NewsFader).

2) Please, run makepolltables.php again and copy, paste, post the error you recieved so we can get the exact info. ;)

I have not tested the hack for 1.1.5 yet, but there should be no changes.

Could you paste the error here?

The error is:

First I got something else, a screen where you good fill in a password and username, but at the bottom of that screen there was an error saying something about the footer. Now I get this message.

Looks like syntax error. If you recieved an email with that error description, please, post it here. It'll tell us where you made a mistake.
You may also try to reinstall the hack (repeat installation instructions and you'll find the error, though).

This is the e-mail. I checked forumdisplay.php and the footer, but I can't find anything, I also reinstalled the hack but it gives the same error.

that is because some parts of the scripts worked, so part of the hack is installed. there are some lines that are commented out with a '//' (usually with a DELETE use in the sql), remove the '//'

Damn it, still getting the same old error, can't find out why.
I checked for // but they are allright. Checked all files 5 times. Anybody know anything else?
