Hi Guys,
I am experiencing a very strange problem. All my users' post counts are disappearing. I run the 'update postcount' script in the maintenance section and its all good for a little while but slowly they decrease again over a few days until they have virtually none left!
Any suggestions as to what could be causing this?

Did you install any modifications and if so, which ones?
Also, could it be that the posts are being deleted?

Hi Colin,
I have several mods installed, but I haven't installed any recently which is when the problems occured, I can list them tho if you'd like.
No, the posts arn't being deleted, There are scenarios where a user has 10,000+ posts and then after a little while they have 2 or 3.

o_o That's a very weird problem.
Did this problem start occuring immediate/or close to after you made modifications to your vBulletin board?

Are you actively pruning threads and running the update post count counter?

Hey Zachery,
Not pruning at all and only updating the counters when the post counts get ridiculously low.
is there a cron for the post counts?

No, you shouldn need to be rebuilding post counts that often, as it isnt a very easy server side option.

are you rebuilding thread and forum counters?
have you rebuilt the stats?
Is anyone else onthe server expriecing the same thing?
Have you modified the user table? Mabey the row that holds the posts is off.
That is a really strange problem...do you see it anywhere else? (view counter, thread post counts, number of members etc)

Sorry Brad, just saw this.
The main forum post counter does not change, my post above was a mistake. User table has been modified, but not the posts row.
Does that help? I tried writing a cron to just update them every night, but that failed :(
