I registered so I can see the screenshots of hacks. Now I realise that I need a vBulletin licence. 15mins of my life have been wasted. I want my 15mins back :devious:
Cant you stick this info in a FAQ?

Ok and thanks once again. I cant even post in most of the other categories.
You might as well ask for the licence details during registration.

If it took you 15 minutes to register then if I were you I wouldn't worry about trying to install hacks...... :D

Well it took me some time to go through some posts. I also spent some time writing a less grumpy thread, but then when I submitted it, it told me that I was not privelidged enough!
Ok anyway, what I did try to post before was:
Is there any hack that will allow me to include paid for advertisements that are different for each category.
Also if there was a hack to include a side navigation bar that expands and colapses tree style like the one at www.sitepoint.com/forums. It also allows you to switch back to "classic" mode and incorporates a featured forum root.
Thanks and
GRRRRRRRRR

As you won't be needing the modifications until you buy a vBulletin license, all you could do is look at the screenshots.
Also, did you actually read the faq before registering? It's not in there, but unfortunatelly most people don't read it anyway...

Welcome to vb.org.

Not a hack per se but alot of people have made use of some free program I forget the name of at the minute to accomplish much the same.
Also if there was a hack to include a side navigation bar that expands and colapses tree style like the one at www.sitepoint.com/forums. It also allows you to switch back to "classic" mode and incorporates a featured forum root.
Switching back to classic is just a neat style switch trick. The side menu thing is probably dhtml,... check some place like dynamicdrive.
vbulletin is a great package and you'll enjoy the full support that comes with a being a liscenced member

Not vB.org's fault, you should be aware that a vB license is required to view all attachments on the site.

actually there is an entry in the FAQ about showing up as unlisensed, so it would just need to be read ;)
