Grabbing topics + displaying them in homepage!

I want to write a simple php script that would pick up the first four topics and display it in the front page. I am not looking for a fool software suite, I'm just looking for a simple script that would open the front page and grab the first 4 topics and display them in my homepage.

The script works great. I can't believe how easy it was to implement. Do you know that I wrote a script to parse the html webpage in PHP! Isn't that insane I didnt utilize PHP's power in parsing the MySql database and extracting information from it grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Thanks alot and happy Thanksgiving.
