If guests are not allowed to view attachments, then they could not view them. If guests can view attachments then they can view the thumbnails.
At leaast by default
Ok, so I guess that answers my question. Are there any plans in the future or any hacks in development that will allow me to have it like it is here? Basically something that allows all members to see thumbnails but only certain groups to download them. I am familiar with php so my next question is it that hard to hack out myself as I am not familiar witht he vbulletin system.

CHT,
You are currently showing up as unlicensed. To be able to download hacks and/or receive support here at vBulletin.org, we ask you to please click here (http://www.vbulletin.com/members/membersupport_priority.php) (vB-germany users click here (http://www.vbulletin-germany.com/members/forums.php)) and enter your email address, to show us that you are licensed.
You will need to use your customer number and password (which will be in the email you got when you paid for your license) to access that page. Please note that your email is case sensitive. The update of your account may take up to one hour.
Thank you.
Ok, I thought I was asking this in the correct forum Pre-Sales.. I was not asking for your help on coding it out I asked was it that difficult to do. I am debating getting vbulletin because for my site I must have this feature! All I was asking was would it be that difficult for a intermediate PHP coder to hack out. I don't see as to how this is support because I dont have vbulletin yet. Thats why I chose to ask before I bought the license. Well you answered my question. Thanks anyway! (Not trying to be sarcastic)
It would be rather easy to do, if you can understand php code you could download a hack from here that add's new permission options to the permissions system then you could check said options in the proper area's of showthread.php and attachment.php
It would'nt take an experanced coder long to do, might take you just a bit longer because you aren't familar with the vB source code yet.
Thanks Brad, that was the anser I was looking for!
