Import from UBB into my existing vb?

I was wondering if there is a way that I can import posts from a UBB installation into my current installation of vb? From what I can tell all of the import scripts are for the initial install and not after the fact.

The reason I ask, is that we used to have an old UBB installation. Well the admin at the time, did not know how to import the files, so they just decided to create a new baord from scratch. Well we recently came across those old files, and I wanted to create an archive of this old data.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am not an expert but I believe what others have suggested is....

Set up a dev site and import the ubb posts to vb3. Then use the importer again to import those posts into a copy of your existing db.

Of course, back everything up.
