My first community ever, and its been up about 4 days. How am I doing? What can I do to get better?

I think you should skin a bit more, the blue background is nice but the default colours for the rest of the skin don't go well with it :)

I agree, I can't read any of the black font text that's not within the forum structure itself.

:) But nice overall, the logo is creative!
