Different Nuke Question

I'm running an older version of Nuke and just can't seem to part with it because of some modifications that I have done.

Anyways, I want to completely get rid (close) of the nuke accounts because I see no need for them. Is there a way I can connect just the nuke news stories with vbulletin so users can comment on stories that way? Besides the stories the forums and the main site would pretty much be separate.

I'm considering purchasing a vbulletin license if I can do this.

I don't think there is a hack that does that with a current version of nuke, but vBPortal (not at this site - Google for it) is integrated with vB and is based on nuke.
