Why did you change the hack section layout? The old way was much better. Specially now we have to see that first thread everywhere when it is a long one?

I think it is good that it is on every page. It's not hard to scrool down - you're going to do that anyways. It's a lot easier to direct someone to the first post on the top of the current page than to send someone back about a hundred pages.

worst layout ever.
no really. You don't need to see it every page, and when it's set to minimise it expands the next page, to full size, making scrolling past it a pain every page transition.
The side bar also screws up the entire layout.
yuck yuck yuck.

The minimize option needs to go to a cookie for it to retain its position on all pages, its only been up a day, the kinks will get worked out in time :)

I agree. I've found it to be a major inconvenience, especially in the Warning Hack V1.5 thread. But I can recall occasions where it would have come in handy.
I suggest putting a link or icon in the postbit of hack release threads that when clicked on opens the original post in a new window. That way we can have the best of both worlds. It's also more intuitive that way as it's easier to look at windows from side to side, rather than up and down. Of couse I have no idea how that would be done. :)

I'd love to add something like that to my site, for downloads, is the new layout for hacks a hack that can be released?
Its simple, if you dont like it then too badSo why even bother having a suggestions & feedback forum here?
It is a bit of a hassle to have to scoll down every page to complete the task you are trying to do, namely, read the actual posts. I think that's what the current feedback here is trying to say.
I'm sure the developers here will take this feedback and improve it in time. A cookie setting will help in a big way and make this 'improvement' complete.
Cheers,

Its kinda silly to repeat the top layout everytime, I have the same feeling like the popup windows. I think the better way is to make the member has an option to turn it on/off rather than push people to read the top part which is just a repeat... :(

Yeaa! And the first post, to repeat my original post could be a mile long! And you have to see it on every page. Very annoying when you have to go thru 80 pages.

Hmm, there seems to be a problem on another part.
The collapsecode is the same as used on every other aspect as well, it just doesn't store the cookies anymore (and not just for the new hack layout, but nowhere...)
Edit: sorry, a corrupted cookie on my browser was the reason, why my chacks didn't realize what's wrong. should be working now :)
hmm, too bad, sounds like a searchintense day of work in JS codes ^^
As for the design, there will be some marginal changes still, but the main aspect will stay, and as most reactions are positive that shouldn't be a problem.

Because yesterday, I minimised the RPG "header", and today when I turned my comp on, it was still minimised :)
Only it does this for *all* headers, not just the one I minimised. But thats no problem at all, clicking the expand button whenever I want to see it is no hassle whatsoever :)
It looks great, and Im eagerly awaiting the replacement of the checkboxes :)

Well, if it does work, how about make it not collapse on page 1? Maybe make collapsing it on page one done on a per-hack basis, so people could minimize it on page 37 or something and only see it expanded on page 1 (and it work for the other hacks that way).
