Hey all.
The most frequent function people use the attachment system at my board is posting images without having to go through to the hassle of using a 3rd party hosting system and so forth.
But unfortunately attachments lack the flexibility of [ img ] [ / img ] images, in that they only go at the bottom of posts, you can't quote them and so on.
Could there be a way of perhaps having an option when attaching images to choose to -either- attach at the bottom of a post in the normal fashion, or to be posted in the thread, with an option.
e.g if you have one attachment you'd post
[ a ]
And the attachment (image) would post there.
However if you had more than one:
[ a=1 ]
[ a=2 ]
Or possibly:
[ a ]
[ a=2 ] and so on.
This would intergrate somehow with the [ attachment ] hack I believe exist to post -existing- attachments.
However I'm talking about avoiding the who bottom-of-the-thread nonsense altogether. :)
Thoughts?
