ok i was just thinking yesterday morning i closed a thread cause it's a petition to get a member unbanned, but the member has had way to many chances as it was and was really annoying the admin, anyway i was just thinking that there should be a hack which allows a thread to be truely closed, totally locked, maybe called a admin closer and make it so only admin can kill a thread like this and the thread has to be re-opened to post in it again, which only an admin can do as well
not sure if i'm making sence or if there is a hack out there for this

SuperClose
I know this was released for vB2, not sure if anyone has made it for vB3 yet.

Threads are truly locked unless you've given your users the ability to unlock them or post in closed theads. Check your usergroup settings.

Move it to a forum that is not open for new psots.

Does this tip not provide the functionality you are looking for, Gaffer?
Or do you allow users to open/close their own threads for various other reasons?

no admin, mods and supermods can post in closed threads. i just want a second level of closure so no one can post without having to uplock it which only an admin would be able to do
