I need to Fix Broken user profile all the time cause my board averages about 20 a day. Is there a way I can stop the need for this? Like some way users can stop appearing as guest on my forum? I have so many hacks I was told this was a price to pay for it. But I get about 20-30 new users ever few hours and I purge alot of lurkers so alot of them just come back and I have this problem so often. I just want the board to run itself fully.

Looking at your site, I guess that as you are so concerned about guests and other lurkers that a potential idea (although maybe not a good one) would be to disallow guests from viewing the site.

However, a better idea would be to require new users to be moderated before they can start to post. This way you can boot someone who does not have the information correct or missing.

Also blocking email addresses that are @hotmail or @yahoo could possibly be worth considering.

No no see my issue is when someone registers and post his/her first or how ever many post show up as a guest. Until I go into the admincp and fix broken user profile. I was wondering If I could set it to schedule and do it for me. Or just stop the "guest" issue altogether.

ok then.

set the usergroup permissions so that Guests, (COPPA) Users Awaiting Moderation, and Users Awaiting Email Confirmation do NOT have permission to post anywhere. This can be done in their default usergroup settings.

This should (crosses fingers) solve the problem.

OH ok see it's a bit of miscommunication here lol. Let's say you registered on my board and went to make a post. I mean you have went through email validation etc. and are ready to post. Every post you make you will be a guest until I hit "fix broken user profile" for example I just made you a member to my forum...
