Hi,

I am trying to view [vB 2.2.x] - Smiliecreator v1.1 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=50450) and a pop up window prompt is asking me to
Enter username and password for "" at http://207.44.206.46
Username:
Password:

but i am already signed in?

What is happening here??

Wow, that is interesting!

Do a quick view of the source page, and you'll find the member "Disturbed" having a sig:
<img src="http://207.44.206.46/~admin3/sig.php" border="0" alt="" />

The PHP file is in a password protected directory, or something is occuring, to make that prompt show.

More reason to disable dynamic sigs.

so was this a legitamite error or a an intercepted vB.org transmission to attempt to get us to un-suspectingly give up our user name and password???

Likely just an accident on the user's part.

He just had his sig loacted in a password protected directory, so when a file is called out of that directory, it will prompt for a pass.

ok, so that would mean that all his posts would be affected; YES?

I guess he has no signature now, until he re-links it outside of the portected folder?

Thats correct, but Dean has taken the url out of his sig. :)

Dynamic imgs are already disabled, but that doesn't disable php file images, just those urls with & and ? and so on..
