After being asked by the folks from Hobbierz I have been playing around with an idea on how to get their deli shop online. Keep a warm feeling, include all the required information they want, and still keep the personal and professional feel and look to the site. I think I established that quite well.

It should work in all the latest browsers and I invite everybody to come take a look and see how it integrates with the forum and the forum integrates with the total site.

We just finished things and are working on our own CMS powered by vBulletin so the .html pages slowly turn into a template powered .php page with all the required features.

We are discussing to purchase branding free, but until we find a sponsor for that I don't think it will happen soon.

Positive feedback is very welcome, and negative feedback might help us debug the initial version errors that I have overlooked and require attention. So please provide constructive feedback.

Browse around http://www.TheNewDeli.com/ and let me know how that browses for you.

Thank you.

I like it. One problem is the style. I love the style. It uses all the colors that are easy on the eyes. Problem is that so many people now have the same style it has lost its uniqueness.

I think the way that is is small and compact makes it unique from the actual proper pro style. Plus you can notice the tweaks which work nicely in places :) Looks nice floris

I agree AWS, but just like Dean says - it has been modified (and will be more in the future) to be less cluthered, more organized and more unique. Maybe we will even play with the colors. I think together with the design around it, it looks more unique.

I only wish I could sell my style unique, but I doubt someone wants to pay a lot of money, instead of getting the whole package and more for just $35

Very nice. What I like most is it is understated. Way too many sites are IN YOUR FACE :surprised:. So it is nice to have a little refined elegance in this busy world of ours.

Thank you for the kind feedback. One of the goals was to have a warm design, yet professional and still feel personal and easy to navigate. The forum itself might be the most confusing part to new internet users, but the site itself should be pretty easy to navigate and easy to find what you are looking for.

Can't you center (horizontallyl) the site?
Now there's a huge "blank" part on the right.

I've chosen to keep it left, it fits the overall design more and looks better then when centered. The right part only grows on higher resolutions and the most used resolution is still 1024 on the internet. But .. I will keep it under consideration - especially if more people think it should be centered.

Have you considered sending them a discount coupon for registering on the forum?

Very nice idea, it has been discussed briefly. But at that point the priority was to get the site up and running. I have added it to the development of version 2 and will point it out the owners of the company to consider it.
