Is there a hack similar to a database of occupations by city, or

What i would like to do is, people can list in a database where they are located, and what business they are in, and then, the person searching the database can search by loaction, or by occupation.

for ex: A musician forum.
You use a pull down menu to select the state or area, and the pull down menu to select occupation, like guitar player, and then press search to get results.

we call this a Yellow Pages generator... there is some in the php universe, but not for vBulletin yet!
