I don't know how to make bbcodes, so I would like to request that someone makes me a flash bbcode, so that users can show flash movies and games in threads and posts..
Something like
Anyone?

In the admin cp, left side menu scroll down until you see "Custom BB Codes" click on that and then click on "Add New BB Code". Now you fill in the form like this
Title:
Flash
Tag:
flash
Replacement:
<embed src={param} width=450 height=400 type=application/x-shockwave-flash></embed>
Example:
<embed src={param} width=450 height=400 type=application/x-shockwave-flash></embed>
Description:
Post flash(.swf) movies/games
Use {option}:
No
NOTE: below is optional if you want your members to just click a button instead of typing it out the code then continue on if you dont then leave the field blank
Button Image (Optional):
images/editor/flash.gif
(I created a image for you already for the editor thats if you want the editor to display a button for the user to easily add the code. all you have to do is upload it to "images/editor" folder.)
click save and your done now users can add flash to their posts.

Nice!
for those using Floris' professional style, I've added the following
Its nice - but the problem i find is that when they click it, they have the prompt screen come up when theres no need for it on my board - primarily because i want to make some pre-defined flash images people can include in their posts...
Anyway around showing the prompt?

For Example: you need to put url.
Replace "url" with the URL to a flash. Doesn't matter what, it's just an example.

This is just not working for me. It's like .swf is somehow blocked on my site.
This is absolutely the most frustrating thing I've ever seen.
Is there someone here who would possibly be able to help me with this?
It seems that there is something not allowing for .swf files to work with my site. It's not an enable HTML thing or custom BB code thing. There is something with my site which doesn't allow for .swf.

I've got this working to a degree - the flash UBB tags work but only if entered manually.
See:
http://dpnow.com/forum2/showthread.php?p=6679#post6679
When I enabled the button bar button the tags became part of the url and it didn't work properly.
I'd also like the flash movie to size itself rather than be restricted to a box of one size. As I would like to post software tutorial screen recordings, a box size of 'up to' 1024x768 would be nice rather than a fixed size, which I currently have at 800x600.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ian
